Footprints
IETS had organized A Child Awareness Program jointly with CRY (Child Relief and You) for development of social awareness programs in schools from 2004 to 2008. Known as Footprints, this program involved familiarising children with concepts like Patriotism, Rights, Gender Discrimination, Non-Violence, and more.
The project was aimed at students of class VI and used discussions, role plays, mind mapping, and other interesting activities to engage the learners. Apart from classroom interaction, the Footprints program studied perceptions and beliefs in children of different socio-economic backgrounds and recorded the feedback of students and teachers on the program. IETS also organised inter-school activities, poster competitions, and debates, all based on the Footprints learning.
