Project Inspire As a part of the Microsoft CSR initiative “Project Inspire”, IETS trained students from Bangalore Military School to conduct interactive sessions using IETS multimedia lessons, IETS Publications, interesting games, street plays and other activities for children back home in their villages in Bihar, Rajasthan and UP during the summer vacation. The program was also monitored by IETS to ensure its effectiveness.
Ashwini Trust and Children’s Love Castles Trust IETS has tie ups with NGOs such as Ashwini Trust and Children’s Love castles Trust. Workshops and reading club activities for students were supported by these NGOs. These NGOs also used IETS Kannada and English multimedia content for remedial teaching of students including the drop-outs.
Akshara Foundation IETS has provided Akshara Foundation - a Bangalore-based Public Charitable Trust with IETS Publication books to distribute to a network of libraries in schools and communities to encourage and sustain a reading habit among children. The libraries open up children’s minds to worlds beyond their own and are a key factor in facilitating the learning process.
International Labour Organization IETS has developed a Life Skills Module for International Labour Organization, to be used in Transitional Education Centers for Child Labourers. The program modules are in English, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi. The Life skills project aims to rehabilitate 80,000 at-risk children who work in hazardous industries. The program was implemented in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi.
UNFPA IETS was instrumental in carrying forward the UNFPA Adolescent Education Programme to teachers and advocacy programme for teachers in CBSE schools across the country.
World Bank Projects IETS was the implementing agency for the World Links Program in which teachers were trained under a World Bank financed project.
