Life Skills & Soft Skills Programs IETS has implemented Life Skills as well as Soft Skills Programs in several Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in West Bengal. Double Click and Anchor are two of the several Integrated Learning programs developed by IETS for the students. Anchor is a Life Skills program that imparts cognitive, social, interpersonal and self-managerial skills needed to cope up with problems and stress. It integrates learning methods, which are experiential and fun-based. The learning method involves use of activities that are aimed at awareness building and providing necessary skills for application in day-to-day life. On the other hand, Double Click is a Computer Education program that has curriculum-integrated IT-Education content to develop Computer technology skills in the learners. These programs were implemented as a part of UNICEF initiative in order to enhance the prospects of employability as well as promote holistic development of the female students from socially and economically disadvantaged background.
