Learning with Computers

Learning with Computers in schools involves delivery of digital content and introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in the classrooms. It also includes adequate capacity building training for teachers to deliver technology-aided lessons. Learning with Computers also features post installation support service to the participating schools to monitor implementation and maintenance of the project.

IETS is working with the Department of IT, Government of West Bengal to enhance teaching and learning in classrooms with the use of ICT. The pilot initiative included 65 schools in Bardhaman and Bankura where large number of students enrolled, are from less privileged backgrounds. The project is now running in North 24 Parganas district of the state.

IETS has also worked in the North East for developing the quality of education in schools by introducing ICT tools in classroom teaching. It has introduced a unique group learning tool-Kyan & concept based multimedia-teaching aids in a few chosen schools in the states of Assam, Mizoram and Tripura in order to build up the technology infrastructure.
