Learning Kits

Improvement of Student performance and enhancement of Teacher capabilities remain areas of primary concern for IETS as it aims at raising the standard of quality of School Education. It thus introduces a number of Kit-based Education solutions that makes classroom learning more effective and practicable. With the aid of several teaching-learning tools, children can study English or Hindi as second or third language. Even Science and Maths mapped to NCERT syllabus can be taught comprehensively with the aid of these tools featuring fun-exercises and interactive activities. As per your need, you can choose from Learning Kits named Maths Master, Science Plus, English Relay and Hindi Seekho. For more details on each kit, scroll down the page.

Math Master
Does the thought of studying Maths makes your child jittery? Then, Math Master is the right solution for your kid. Learning Mathematics can be a fun-filled experience with the aid of this IETS kit that uses blocks, shapes, cut-outs and various patterns. Mapped to NCERT curriculum, this kit is designed to teach the concepts and formulae of Mathematics to students of Class 1-8 through interactive exercises. Gaining knowledge through fun-activities of Math Master makes students fast learners.  

Science Plus:
Science Plus is a popular Learning Kit, which has been developed conforming to the NCERT syllabus. Learning Science can become quite exciting with the aid of this kit, which features several tasks and games. While the students are encouraged towards exploration through these experimental activities, they are also imparted keen observation and recording skills. Studying Science becomes more than just a classroom activity and evolves into a usable exercise once students of Class 1-8 use Science Plus.

English Relay Programme
A much-demanded initiative of IETS, English Relay Programme (ERP) intends to teach children functional English. Based on Curriculum Learning Outcomes, the programme’s framework and design address the lack of good English teachers in rural India. After promoting basic literacy among the learners, the program equips them to use English ably for academic purposes. The language skills of the participants are developed through exercises, games and role plays. They also hear recorded lessons for listening practices and exposure to Spoken English. Story Books with customised content and illustrations are also read out in sessions delivered by either an educated adult or a schoolteacher.

The program is conducted in 4 levels:

  • Level 1          Std 1-2
  • Level 2          Std 3-5
  • Level 3          Std 6-8
  • Level 4          Std 9-10


Target Learners:
Students aged between 6 to 15 years, learning English as second or third language and rural schoolchildren.

Deliverables:

  • Facilitator Training with the aid of transliterated Teacher Manuals
  • Facilitator Kit containing Audio tapes, Story cards, Games, Flash cards, Class cards, Posters, Reading Cards
  • Workbook for the learner
  • Monitoring with the aid of checklists
  • Facilitator Development Plan given to partner organizations to encourage professional growth of the trainers.

Hindi Seekho
Quite a popular Kit-based Program is Hindi Seekho, which focuses on teaching of Hindi as a second or third language to students of Class 1-8. With the aid of a Kit containing exclusive materials, lessons can be delivered with the approach of Communicative Language teaching. While the students are provided with workbooks, teachers can use:
