Skills for Entrepreneurship

We offer programmes catering to both rural and urban entrepreneurs promoting enterprise development in a cluster format. Our comprehensive livelihood development initiative has successfully created 500,000 livelihoods already.

We have a "home to market" strategy with strong delivery mechanisms and institutional linkages which enabled sustainable livelihoods for rural artisans. This is especially beneficial for the economically disadvantaged producers engaged in handloom, handicraft and other non-farm based local economic activities. We are actively working with 50,000 rural women engaged in handloom and handicraft in Andhra Pradesh (AP), Tripura and Rajasthan in collaboration with the central and state governments.

Some of our projects involving strategy, design and implementation for livelihood promotion are successful and recognized as case studies in community based cluster development. Some examples being Tripura Bamboo Mission, Competitiveness enhancement of Pochampally Ikkat weavers in Andhra Pradesh, Development of a lace cluster in Narsapur and Bhilwara Garments Producer company.
