Education to Employability Program (E2E) of IETS was recently carried out by IETS in collaboration with Vikramshila Education Resource Society in five government-aided schools of Kolkata. It was supported by the Dell Foundation. The project was launched to offer age-appropriate inputs for the students so that they become fully equipped to manage their ambitions and plan their career. About 250 students underwent this training.
Participant Profiles: The target group comprised school-leavers, with some or all of the following traits:
- Age group of 16-18 years
- have at least secondary standard of formal education
- have no specific existing skills but have the drive and ability to work
- possess behavioural inconsistencies due to their environment
- might not be able to continue formal education after the 10th standard
- strongly wish to channelize capacity for gainful engagement

The project evaluation of E2E involves student participation and self-analysis through self-scoring evaluation sheets. These analyses help the students to chart out their strengths and opportunities, focusing on both attitude as well as aptitude to enable them to make educated choices for their future course of action.
