IL&FS Education and Government of Gujarat join hands for Mission Mangalam
IL&FS Education has joined hands with Government of Gujarat for ‘Mission Mangalam’, a programme initiated by the state government for the benefit of the women. The programme aims to organise the rural poor women into Self Help Groups / Sakhi Mandals, help them in providing linkages with banks, conduct capacity building programme and thus help them in getting livelihood opportunities.

The four-days training will comprise of topics like personal skills (communication skills, motivation techniques and interpersonal skills), social entrepreneurship (relationship with social network and appreciate social and economic capital), benchmarking/learning from others (awareness about the best practices/initiatives in India), developing village businesses and assessing and harnessing opportunities (identify and evaluate opportunities to explore services to make the enterprise sustainable, managing networks and inter-personal relationships (understand and utilise the networks resourcefully to provide timely and relevant services), managing funds (understanding basics of accounting, costing and banking procedure).
IL&FS Education is determined to see that the women who are being trained under this project are able to streamline their existing businesses, expand them through various channels and also come up with new ideas wherever possible.
