IL&FS Education partners with Gujarat Education Board
14-Dec-2011
IL&FS Education has partnered with Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), to conduct Needs Assessment for 70,000 teachers of Government and Government aided schools in all the districts of Gujarat.

The objective of this initiative is to understand current educational needs, evaluate teaching levels and take corrective measures by exposing teachers to need based training for their Continued Professional Development.

In this project, OMR based assessments will be carried out for pedagogical skills, general abilities and subject knowledge. The results will be analysed on the basis of results and various other parameters. Twenty need based teacher education workshops will be organised to train the expert teachers, who will then train the other teachers in a cascade model.

IL&FS Education will also provide training on creation of question papers to 50 Government teachers so that the Board can utilise their expertise to create a question bank.

A teachers' contest on designing classroom activities will also be organised by IL&FS Education which will be assessed by a distinguished panel of experts from GSHSEB, IL&FS and other eminent educationists.
