LearnLinQ Journey So far

The LearnLinQ Dialogue was introduced to share ideas and visions of eminent educationists of the country. A dialogue is meant to facilitate creation of new things through a collaborative effort. Participants in a dialogue are inspired to think, encouraged to express themselves freely as well as empowered to understand each other’s point of view. Given that LearnLinQ sustains itself on the need to share thoughts, resources and practices, this dialogue was essential. For the year 2008-09, we chose to involve Principals of 103 schools across India in this exercise.

Approach and Methodology of LearnLinQ Dialogue:

Principals were interviewed on the basis of a questionnaire covering the main areas of school education. Each dialogue was spread over an hour and a half in the school premise. The questionnaire had two divisions:

  • one part focused on academic and overall development of learners, capacity building of teachers and administration procedures in schools.

  • the other part addressed the theme of Innovations and Best Practices in school education.

The content of the LearnLinQ Dialogue is a treasure trove for today’s educators. The LearnLinQ report has been developed after collating the thoughts and visions of Principals expressed through the dialogue. A copy of the report has been sent to each participant school.

LearnLinQ Journey So far

LearnLinQ’s quest for excellence will continue through several programs meant for students, teachers and Principals.

The LearnLinQ website is launched to serve as a platform for virtual networking by the member schools. The website will gradually evolve as a vehicle to popularise and expand the network across the country. On one hand, it will emerge as a tool to reach out to many more Indian schools, on the other hand, it will constantly give updates on the LearnLinQ events organised countrywide. The website will soon feature a live forum for online discussions and debates on important issues.

The first edition of LearnLinQ Wall is being put up in each member school. The Wall brings you articles on various topics mapped to the emerging needs of Indian schools and fun elements like brainteasers and Science facts. It intends to emerge as a dynamic tool for interaction of teachers and students and will reach the schools in fresh editions at regular intervals. As you read the Wall, you will get a glimpse of the upcoming LearnLinQ activities as well as a generous dose of fun-filled learning.
