The LearnLinQ Dialogue
was the foremost step to the process of sharing
ideas, thoughts and resources related to school
education. The first episode of the Dialogue was
a pan-India exercise conducted between November
2008 and January 2009. One-to-one interviews with
103 Principals were taken by IL&FS Education officials that focussed
on the following areas:
- General needs of Indian Education today
- General ideas about Education
- School specific needs
- School specific solutions and Innovations
- Proposed Innovations
- Future visions and missions of individual schools
- Wish-lists for education in India
Profile of Participating Schools:
For the LearnLinQ Dialogue schools
were chosen from cities of Ahmedabad, Chennai,
Gurgaon, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Coimbatore,
Guwahati, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madurai, Mussourie,
Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Pondicherry and Tirunelveli.
While most of the participating schools are non-residential,
they were selected on the basis of their reputation
in the respective cities. These schools are
affiliated to a wide range of Boards like state
education boards, IGCSE, ICSE and CBSE.
LearnLinQ Report:
The LearnLinQ Dialogue has captured
significant thoughts, suggestions and visions
related to school education. The report created
for sharing the dialogue with you neither aims
at offering readymade solutions nor contains ideas
and practices that you may completely agree with.
It intends only to raise queries, share thoughts
and offer you views from across the country.
