IL&FS Education and Intel seminars on Skills and Technology for Emerging India.

IL&FS Education in collaboration with Intel are doing a series of seminars on Skills and Technology for Emerging India in different colleges across the India. The objective of these seminars is to introduce youth with emerging opportunities in the country and how they can tap them. It started from UIT, Dehradun and so far 15 Such seminars had been conducted from Theog, Himachal Pradesh to Nashik, Maharashtra and from Amritsar, Punjab to Patna, Bihar.

More than 600 centers signed across the country

IETS has signed more than Six hundred education centers across the country. By the mid of November 2009 it has shown its presence at more than 150 cities in 120 districts across the nation.

State Education Partners Signed up in Maharastra, Haryana, Punjab.

IETS has signed up new education parnters. Pygmalion in Maharastra, Career Vision in Haryana and Tarrakki Dot Com Education Technoloy Service in Punjab.

Ten IETS Education Partners signed across India.

Of the ten Education Parnters, one new has been signed up in Haryana by the name of Career Vision. Along with this two in Bihar and one in Maharashtra have ventured into the same.

Connected Indian - A Certification program in Internet Education launched

IETS in collaboration with College of Commerce had organised a one day seminar on 'Skills for Emerging India' on 14-03-09 in Patna. Dr. MB Verma, a veteran Scientist and Ex- Director Aeronautical Development Agency had inaugurated the 'Connected Indian' -A Certification Program in Internet Education. Srinivas Tadigadapa, District Manager, Intel South Asia, World Ahead Program was also amongst the prominent personalitites who were present on the occassion. The Connected Indian course consists of 15 modules at an affordable price of Rs 299 only. IETS is aiming to reach out to 10,000 students in the next 6 months through this innovative progamme.

2 State Education Partners sign up in Bihar

Two leading organisations have signed up for becoming Education Partners for the IETS Education Center project. Chanakya Institute of Technology for Ara Zone (District Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Bhabua and Aurangabad) and MIIT Computer Education has signed for two zones, first Purnia (Districts, Purnia, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Araria, Katihar and Kishanganj) and second Begusarai (Districts, Begusarai, Vaishali, Samastipur and Khagaria).

IETS Education Center participates in the Manthan Awards South Asia 2008

A team from IETS Education Center participated in an exhibition in Manthan Awards South Asia 2008 for best e-Content for development which were inaugurated by Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on 16th Oct 2008. This event is being attended by delegates from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This event has been supported by Department of Information Technology, Intel, IBM and many organizations from Corporate and Social sector. IL&FS Education and Technology Services Ltd was an associate partner of the Manthan Awards South Asia 2008. IETS Education Center programs including Skill Builder and SPEED were exhibited during the event and keen interest was shown by various organizations from India and other countries.

IETS EC Newsletter

IETS EC released first issue of its monthly newletter on 6th Nov. 09. It will help in sharing, latest happenings, programs and future plans at IETS and all education centers across India.

Education Partners Meet held at Dehradun

Education Partners Meet was held in Dehradun on 19th December 2008. This meet was attended by IETS Education Centers of Uttrakhand (Tehri region) and State Education Partners - AIT (Tehri Region) and Mahavir Infotech (Eastern Himachal Pradesh). A team from IETS shared the concept of IETS Education Center project and future plans for the IETS Education Center project.

Skill Builder and SPEED to be offered through more than 15000 Common Service Centers

IL&FS Education Centers have partnered with various Service Center Agencies that are amongst companies which are setting up over 100, 000 Common Service Centers in India. IETS Education Center programs including Skill Builder and SPEED will be offered in over 15,000 centers in Haryana, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Orissa, Himachal among other States.
